Australian model Rachael Finch has shared an update in her “sexy surgical bra” after having her breast implants removed.
The mum-of-two underwent surgery last week after scans revealed one of her breast implants had ruptured, she explained in an Instagram post.
“Most of you might immediately think, ‘I didn’t think you had implants’,” Finch wrote.
“At 17yrs I made the decision to have them put in and they have been a part of me for pretty much all my adult life.
“I am thankful that I was lucky enough to still breastfeed both my babies.”
In an update on Tuesday, Finch, who has been resting and recovering following the procedure, was snapped soaking up some sun.
“A little sunshine today in my sexy surgical bra,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself sitting on a balcony.
“I’ll be in this cutie for around 6-8 weeks but she comes in nude & black also.
“Grateful to just be feeling a little better every day. I’m off the stronger pain killers & literally just spending my days resting, reading and calling my family.”
‘New potential’
In earlier posts, the 32-year-old explained she noticed one implant looked slightly different from the other two years ago.
After consulting a doctor, she was told she had a capsular contracture - where scar tissue contracts around the implant - but nothing needed to be done urgently.
She then started experiencing pain in her left breast and had other symptoms, leading her to see other specialists.
Just two weeks ago, Finch was told her left implant had actually ruptured and was leaking.
Following the surgery, which was a “huge success”, Finch has been resting and recovering.
“I cannot explain to you, despite some pain still, how happy I am sitting here,” she said in a post three days after the surgery.
“I feel like a new person with new potential.”
