1. Godmothered – December 4.
Right from the get go, the Christmas content is set to take over Disney+ Hotstar. Releasing on December 4, Godmothered is a comedy featuring Eleanor, who is a young and inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training. But, she soon learns about the extinction scare of her profession and embarks on a journey to show the importance of fairies to people. The feel-good, uplifting movie is perfect to kickstart the holiday mood.
2. Safety – December 11.
A sports drama, inspired from the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, Safety releases on December 11. McElrathbey was a young man bundled in a string of issues and challenging circumstances, but his dedication and persistence helps him power through the situations. Along with succeeding on-field he also proudly raises his young 11-year-old brother Fahmarr.
3. Soul – December 25
Ever wondered how your soul gets the personalities, quirks and interests? Well, this Pixar Animation Studios’ movie will give you a little perspective on it. It features the life of a middle-school band teacher who is blessed with the opportunity of playing at the best jazz club in town. But, a fortunate misstep takes him from New York to The Great Before – a place where souls are manufactured.
4. Euphoria: Trouble Don’t Last Always – December 7
This Christmas special of Euphoria, picks up from where the season left off in the end. While most were expecting a second season, this is what fans will have to make do with for now. Releasing on December 7, it charts the adventure of Rue (Zendaya), who celebrates Christamas after being left at the train station by Jules, in the closing sequences of Season one.
5. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Holiday Special – December 11
Here’s another special something for Christmas, tailored for High School Musical fans. High School Musical: The Series: The Holiday Special, coming to Disney+ Hotstar on December 11, it packs holiday cheer in abundance. The cast perform their favourite Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year songs and share exciting anecdotes from their holidays too. It also gives you a sneak peek at the big performance from the second season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
6. Arendelle Castle Yule Log 2.0 – December 18
For your holiday celebrations, set the wintry mood with Anna and Elsa’s Arendelle Castle yule log. The castle is newly decorated this year with elements harkening back to Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven’s recent journey to the Enchanted Forest. Happy Holidays from Arendelle!
7. Burrow (SparkShorts) (25 Dec)
Here’s an award-winning short film that you can squeeze in among all the Christmas movies you’ll be bingeing this season. The stop-motion inspired reel charts the story of a young rabbit who embarks on a journey to dig a burrow of her dreams. While she has very little clue of what she is doing, it is her determination that keeps her going. The movie is also a lesson in the shame that surrounds seeking help.
8. Adventure of the Ring S1 – December 13
This comedy drama produced by HBO Asia, has been receiving positive reviews on the trailers and will premier on the same day as Taiwan – the origin country – in India. Adventure of the Ring follows different couples who come in contact with one engagement ring and how it affects their lives. Initially misplaced in a crowded morning train, the journey of finding the ring together, opens new nuances of love for the couple.
9. Beyond The Clouds S1 – December 2
After the success of Beyond the Clouds, a Disney+ Original movie, this series looks at what went on behind the scenes. Along with the production challenges and successes, it also looks at inspiration for the movie. Nine episodes will premier weekly, starting December 2 (tomorrow). The first episode charts the beginning of the movie, the scripting, adventures and how it all began.
10. On Pointe S1 – December 18
Finally, something for the documentary lovers too. On Pointe is a six-part docu-series capturing a season at the American School of Ballet in New York City. All the behind the scenes footage, unprecedented access to the famous ballet institution, it showcases the lives of students aged 8 to 18. If you love ballet, this ones going to fit the bill perfectly.

Supposedly a coming of age tale centered around a teenager named Ruth, Euphoria is risque, raw and every bit unforgiving. The show is a parent’s nightmare as the things that are shown in the series could make you deeply worried about your kids growing in this messed up world. Euphoria is powered by Zendaya’s honest portrayal and director Jennifer Morrison’s willingness to bare it all.
