In case you've been hiding under your back the blue flag over the last few weeks, America feels like a really messy place right now. And while Crowbar's annual Hot Dog Party is always a place to commune with like-minded local music fans and would-be weiner warriors, at least one band reminded us that there's a lot of work to do.

That honor belongs to Tampa grunge duo Hovercar—Nik Docherty and their big bodied black Epiphone adorned with "Abort the Court" insignia, plus drummer Alton Plemmons—which turned in the loudest (almost rowdiest if it weren't for the Beastie Buns) set of the night at Hot Dog Party 16.

A new champion, Triple D, Dirty Dog Drew, took home the title belt in yet another nasty edition of Tampa's original hot dog eating competition.

Johnny Mile & the Kilometers kicked things off, and photographer Dave Decker was there once again with glass in hand.
