When you live in a condo above Sacramento’s sexiest hotel, your home is destined to inherit some of that sex appeal, too. For the woman who inhabits this swank condo, that’s totally OK. In fact, “sexy” is one of the exact words she gave interior designer Natalie Bachli to describe the vibe she wanted.

“The custom area rug has movement and a nice shimmer. It looks rich and quiet,” says designer Natalie Bachli. A palette of blacks, golds and caramels keeps things elegant and enticing.

Bachli started with designing a custom fireplace—a statement fixture sheathed in a stunning mosaic of marble. “It’s clean, contemporary and a little moody,” she says. “It set the tone for the rest of the condo.” Adjacent to that area is an equally seductive entertaining space, anchored by a bold bar cabinet. “When beside the elegant-glam chandelier, the sparkly, lit-up bar cabinet is a lovely little surprise,” says Bachli.

However, Bachli took a more subtle approach to the bedrooms. “You have the beautiful views, so I didn’t want the eye to stop in one place,” she explains. “The soft, elegant designs don’t take away from anything.”
