Disney Plus Hotstar has recently dropped a trailer for its upcoming sci-fi comedy series, OK Computer. The streaming platform had hosted a virtual press event for the series, which featured the team of creators and actors including Anand Gandhi, Neil Padegar, Radhika Apte, Jackie Shroff, Kani Kusruti, Pooja Shetty, Vijay Varma, and Gaurav Banerjee.
OK Computer takes place in 2031, where a self-driving car has killed a person. In the absence of legal or moral implications for artificial intelligence, the series explores who can be held responsible for the death of an individual. OK Computer stars Vijay Varma, Radhika Apte, Jackie Shroff, and Anand Gandhi as diverse characters that have a different perspective on technology itself.
During the press event, OK Computer creators and directors Pooja Shetty and Neil Padegar revealed that they focused on creating an original Indian sci-fi story. Padegar shared that many viewers are aware of sci-fi movies and shows from the US and Japan, but India doesn’t have such content yet. Shetty also shared that OK Computer pays homage sci-fi literature by Isaac Asimov.
OK Computer is set to debut on March 26 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
