COVID violations: New San Antonio lounge for the 'grown and sexy' receives 3 citations - San Antonio Express-News

The City of San Antonio has issued more than 3,900 warnings and 477 citations for violating the emergency declarations, according to an enforcement report.

Officials had received over 29,700 calls reporting violations as of Monday.

The social distancing orders, intending to slow the spread of COVID-19, first went into place on March 18. The most recent, a 10th addendum to the eighth emergency health declaration, went into effect on Sept. 21.

Multiple city departments — Code Enforcement, Parking Enforcement, Metro Health and the San Antonio Police Department — are enforcing the order.

Here are the citations issued so far:

February 27

- A caller reported people not wearing masks at A-Z Food Mart, located at 4003 E. Southcross. Inspectors found staff not wearing masks or social distancing. A citation was issued.

- A caller reported a large gathering at Independent Electrical Contractors, located at 5511 Ingram. Inspectors found several individuals not wearing masks or social distancing. The owner was hosting a large outdoor barbecue gathering. A citation was issued.

- At Finnegan's, located at 16260 San Pedro, the health and safety signs were not posted, the social distancing features were not enforced, and people were not wearing masks. Two citations were issued.

- An inspection of XTC Cabaret, which should have been closed, found the club open to the public without a certificate of occupancy. A citation was issued.

February 26

- A follow-up inspection of XTC Cabaret, which should have been closed, found that the club continued to open with a food truck out front. A citation was issued for operating without a certificate of occupancy.

- At Vybrations, located at 8800 Broadway, the health and safety signs were not posted, the social distancing features were not enforced, and employees were not wearing masks.

The new bar, which opened on Valentine's Day, was offering on-premises services despite lacking the proper Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission tag or a valid certificate of occupancy. Three citations and a notice of violation for the occupancy certificate were issued.

February 25

- A caller reported that employees were not wearing masks at Susanna’s Mexican Restaurant, located at 2223 S. Zarzamora. Inspectors found that employees were not wearing masks. A citation was issued.

- At XTC Cabaret, located at 2023 Sable Lane, the bartender was not wearing a mask. The club was operating without a certificate of occupancy. Two citations were issued.

February 22

- At Mi Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, located at 1151 Culebra, inspectors found that employees were not wearing masks and customers were not socially distanced. A citation was issued.

- At La Patrona Cafe, located at 1502 N. Zarzamora, employees and customers were not wearing masks or social distancing. A citation was issued.

- At Rainbow Shops, located at 1842 W.W. White, the health and safety signs were not posted. The manager told inspectors that only signs provided by the company were allowed to be displayed. A citation was issued.

February 13

- At The Palace Gentleman's Club, located at 2482 N.E. Loop 410, customers were not wearing masks. A citation was issued.

February 12

- At Perfect 10 Men's Club, located at 111 N.W. Loop 410, employees and guests were not wearing masks or social distancing. A citation was issued.

February 11

- A caller reported people not following protocols at Live Thru This Tattoo, located at 619 S.W. 24th. Inspectors saw an employee and a customer not wearing masks. A citation was issued.

February 10

- A caller reported employees at Cricket Wireless, located at 3610 Nogalitos, were not wearing masks. Inspectors found that employees were wearing masks but the health and safety signs were not posted.

A manager told inspectors that the regional manager had removed all the paper signs and left directions not to replace them. A citation was issued.

- At Lonestar Travel Center, located at 8730 I-35 South, and employee and a customer were not wearing masks. Social distancing features were in place but not being enforced. A citation was issued.

- At Food Mart, located at 719 Palo Alto, employees were not wearing masks or social distancing. A citation was issued.

February 8

- A caller reported a construction not wearing masks at 2566 Goliad. Inspectors saw workers not wearing masks where required. Police responded to identify the supervisor. A citation was issued.

February 6

- At El Corona Nite Club, located at 7503 U.S. Hwy 90 West, staffers placing wrist bands on customers were not wearing masks. A citation was issued.

- At Southside Expo Hall, located at 3822 Pleasanton Road, the social distancing features were not enforced. A citation was issued.

- Tiny Cantina, located at 15900 La Cantera, was allowing on-premises consumption without the proper Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission tag. A citation was issued.

February 5

- At The Industry, located at 8021 Pinebrook, social distancing features were not enforced. A citation was issued.

- At Bar 301, located at 23567 I-10 West, an employee and two customers were interacting without wearing masks. A citation was issued.

- Casa Rivera, a business within Market Square, had no posted health and safety plan or COVID-19 symptom sheet. A citation was issued.

- A caller reported that people were not wearing masks at Blue Moon Mexican Restaurant, located at 3228 S. Flores. Inspectors found that staff and customers were wearing masks but the health and safety signs were not posted. A citation was issued.

- At Amigo’s Food Mart, located at 2106 S. Zarzamora, the manager was not wearing a mask and did not put one on until asked to do so. There were no social distancing features or sanitizer available. A citation was issued.

February 3

- At Plains Capitol Bank, located at 333 Wolfe, an employee was not properly wearing her mask while assisting a customer at the counter. A citation was issued.

- At Delicious Tamale Factory, located at 3500 S. Presa, employees were not wearing masks or social distancing. A citation was issued.

February 1

- A caller reported that employees were not wearing masks at Abundant Staffing, located at 300 N. Loop 1604 East. Inspectors saw three employees without masks and others not social distancing. They met with the manager, who came out without a mask on. A citation was issued.
